S'More Please!

This golden recipe was given to me by friend Genny Freier (I’m sure I begged), friend and scout mom from Motherhood Round One. Genny achieved Grandy status this year with the birth of charming Henry! You can see from the original recipe card it has been well-loved. This is a winner – and easier if you get the kidlets to unwrap the chocolate kisses for you!

1 1/2c sugar

2 eggs

1c softened butter

1 tsp vanilla

2 c flour

1 cup crushed graham cracker crumbs

2tsp baking powder

1 ½ tsp salt

1 bag of chocolate candy kisses, unwrapped

1 jar marshmallow cream

Combine sugar, eggs, butter, and vanilla with a mixer in a large bowl. Blend in flour, graham cracker crumbs, baking powder and salt. Beat about 2 minutes on low speed. Spread half of mixture into a 9x13 pan. Press kisses, point side down, into the dough. Remove top and microwave marshmallow cream (carefully on defrost) for one minute to soften. Plop spoonfuls on top of kisses in pan and spread to cover. Plop remaining spoonfuls of graham dough over marshmallow layer and spread slightly. Bake at 350 degreesF for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
