Jack-o-Lantern Spectacular @ Minnesota Zoo

The acclaimed Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular will make its debut at the Minnesota Zoo this October 2018. An enchanted forest, nestled in the heart of the Zoo, plays host to this strolling exhibit. The trail features over 5,000 illuminated pumpkins of all different sizes, shapes and faces creatively carved and displayed from ground to tree-top. A variety of musical vignettes and fog make the perfect back drop for a special date night or family-friendly, fall outing.

- Children two and younger are always admitted free.

Jack-0-Lantern Spectacular is open rain or shine. In the case of light to moderate rain, the trail will be open. The focus of the event will be the new pumpkin trail. Animals will only be out during daytime hours. There is no additional fee for parking while attending Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular. Parking fee is applicable during Zoo hours 9:00 am – 4:00 pm.

Passion for Pumpkins from Oxford, MA designs the Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular, and carves the over 5,000 illuminated (LED lights) pumpkins you see on the Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular Trail.  Founded by John Reckner, Passion for Pumpkins is a professional multi-media company run by the Reckner family and close friends, and produces shows around the country. They keep carving and enhancing the displays throughout the life of the show. The carvers expect to go through about 20,000 pumpkins during the course of the 28-night run.
