Learn new camping skills (like setting up a tent or having a safe campfire), play games as a family, learn about Minnesota wildlife, and enjoy an evening packed with activity. Enjoy a sunset over the horse pasture, the sound of chirping crickets, and the scent of delicious roasting marshmallows. The Zoo will provide tents and foam sleeping mats to all participants, along with guidance in setting up the tents (you’re also welcome to bring your own, if you prefer.) We also provide dinner, breakfast, T-shirts, and everything you need to make s’mores! You’ll leave with new memories, plus the skills and knowledge you need to take your own Minnesota camping trip (see https://www.grandycamp.info/places-to-go/2017/6/9/grandycamping for a similar program)
Overnights start at 6:30 p.m. and end at 9 a.m. the following morning. After the conclusion of the program all participants are invited to enjoy the rest of the day at the Minnesota Zoo.
